War Horse is a 2011 war drama motion picture directed by Steven Spielberg and is intended for release in america on 25 December 2011 and in britain on 13 January 2012. It is based about both War Horse, a children’s novel collection during World War When i, by British author Erina Morpurgo, first published in great britain in 1982, and the 2007 stage adaptation with the same name.

The cast includes Brian Thewlis, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jeremy Irvine, Emily Watson, Tom Hiddleston, and Peter Mullan. The film is produced by Spielberg and Kathleen Kennedy, and executive produced by means of Frank Marshall and Indulge outselves Guest. Long term Spielberg collaborators Janusz Kaminski, Michael Kahn and John Williams all labored on the film.

In Devon at the actual outbreak of World Battle I, Joey, young Albert Narracott’s favorite horse, is sold to this cavalry and shipped for you to France. He serves in the actual British and German armies, which takes him on an extraordinary odyssey, serving on both sides before being alone in no man’s land.

After observing a young boy having a stammer forming a fond relationship with and talking fluently to a horse at a farmville farm run by Morpurgo’s charitable organisation Farms for City Little ones, Morpurgo found a solution to tell the story, through the horse as well as relations with the a variety of people it meets before and over the course of the war: a young Devon farmboy, a British cavalry specialist, a German soldier, and an old Frenchman as well as his grand-daughter.

The paper described the family drama as “a world-class masterpiece” and a “surprise in many ways.”

The movie has been recently nominated for the 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards, entering the festival's Best Foreign Language Film line-up.

Farhadi's latest production also won the Los Angeles Film Critics Association's 2011 Screenplay Award.

The international film magazine, Sight and Sound recently announced Farhadi's Separation as the second best film of the year 2011.

The critically-acclaimed movie has entered the Best Foreign film line-up of the International Press Academy (IPA) Satellite Awards. The 2011 New York Film Critics Circle also granted its Best Foreign Film award to A Separation.

The New York Times has predicted that Farhadi's film will win the 2012 Best Foreign Film Oscar.

The movie also won the best film honor of the 2011 Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA), the Golden Bear Award of the 2011 Berlin International Film Festival as well as the event's Silver Bears for the entire male and female cast ensemble.

The Golden Arena prize of Croatia's 2011 Pula Film Festival, and the Best Feature Film and the Best Screenplay awards of the 32nd Durban International Film Festival are among the film's other international honors.

The Wall Street Journal's second best 2011 film title went to The Artist by Michel Hazanavicius
